August 2012 brought the IPCPR (International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association) 80th Annual Convention & International Trade Show to Orlando Florida, the most important event of the year for tobacconists. We at CIHYA are proud to have been part of the show for the third consecutive year with our product designs for Salutem and Master Habano Maduro. Big Time Tea Company, outside Atlanta, Georgia, was starting fresh. A former television executive promotion producer, Melinda Hicks noticed an overabundance of sweetened juices and drinks on the shelves rather than a healthy alternative for her daughter, Julia. Flavored water beverages were tasteless and even the organic offerings were loaded with sugar. She saw opportunity in the market, fueled by her own needs as a mom. A Loyal brand just in time.
Toraño – A Family Cigar Company, located in Miami Florida, needed a look for their new cigar. The 2011 IPCPR in Las Vegas (the cigar industry trade show) this July is where manufacturers debut new lines to the press and wholesalers. With only two months to the show, a box design, cigar band and logo for LOYAL were non-existent. Toraño could loose thousands of dollars in free press and exposure, returning and new smokers, and a year’s loss of future revenue in LOYAL’s launch if this brand misses the show.

Miami Design Preserved.
The MDPL were in a tough spot, or at least their web site was. With being in charge of the preservation of revered South Beach landmarks, neither of them had the time nor experience to update the MDPL’s copy heavy and crazily-coded web site. With the 2011 Art Deco Walk approaching and a grant on the line, they needed a user-friendly solution for their website, and fast. After experiencing CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION advertising + branding for his own company, one of the members approached MDPL board to have CIHYA tackle the much-needed overhaul.
